Today’s Scripture: Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Psalm 119:1–3
In the poem, “The Road Not Taken,” Robert Frost said he couldn’t travel both roads in the wood. Neither can the Christian. Once a person puts his trust in Christ, he comes to a crossroads and must choose which path he will take. He is not choosing between Heaven and Hell. Instead, he chooses between living for Christ and living for himself.
While the carnal Christian follows the path that the world has made popular, the committed Christian sets his sights on the road less traveled. After choosing their respective courses, chances are they won’t retrace their steps and change roads. The first choice makes all the difference.
You could be a young person who is new in the faith and uncertain which path to take. I encourage you to follow the footsteps of well-traveled Christians who have already made up their minds about which path they will take. If you are a mature Christian, do your part to help new believers navigate the spiritual crossroads they are facing. Show them why their first choice makes all the difference.
