Today’s Scripture: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
All over the world, people are working on making resolutions to keep in the New Year. You can be sure the health clubs will be full for the next few weeks, and churches might even experience a slight boost in attendance.
While there is absolutely nothing wrong with deciding to make changes in your life, let me encourage you to make a change that will have a lasting impact on both yourself and the world: be a soul-winner. Too many Christians are either timid or indifferent when it comes to sharing the Gospel. If you are looking to make changes, the best way to start is getting the focus off yourself and on to others.
Over the last few days, we’ve looked at the call we have received to be a soul-winner. It’s not an optional calling – God commands all of us to win souls. When you begin to see people as lost souls heading for an eternity apart from God, it will change your outlook on life and change your approach to life.
So, go ahead and resolve to lose weight, eat better, and exercise more; but also, resolve to be a sharing person – a person who is focused on sharing the Gospel.
