Today’s Scripture: And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Ephesians 5:2

“Peter, how could you be any good to Christ by being killed?” Anne said. Tears streamed down her cheeks. “You will not be able to serve your Savior when you are left in a Nazi concentration camp. If you don’t keep your mouth shut about the Bible, that is where you’ll end up.”

“But I must tell others about Christ, and I can give Christ glory even through my death,” Peter said as he stepped from their humble living room and into the frosty air with Bible in hand. “Anne, even our strongest love is nothing compared to the love that Jesus showed on the cross, and we can always love Him more.”

Have you ever considered that our strongest love is nothing compared to the love of Christ? In our text, we read that we are to walk in love as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us. Many Christians do not realize that there is always more we can do and more we can give. Christ deserves our best. He gave His all and so should we.

Have you become complacent with your Christian walk? Do you feel that you already love Him enough because you occasionally attend church or because you tithe when you can? Remember, we need to give our best to Christ because He gave His best for us.
