Matthew was a 14-year-old boy who started watching Victory In Grace on television. After watching the program, he got saved. Soon he started going to church, ordering our tracts, and witnessing to everybody. I asked him, “Matthew, what are you going to do with your life?”

“I’m going to Dayspring [Bible College] and I want to go start a church.” I get really excited hearing stories like Matthew’s. He has found wisdom. He knows what’s really important: it’s not about who you are to the world, but for Whom you live.

It’s easy to put more value on degrees, a well-paying job, and earthly possessions than on Christ. But wisdom is Christ. Proverbs 9:10 states: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Without Christ our degrees, jobs, and possessions mean little. With Christ we can enjoy these things to their fullest potential.

You may be a high school or college graduate preparing for life. Perhaps you’ve already determined the course of your profession. Where does Christ fit in your priority list? Are you out to prove who you are to the world, or have you determined to live for Christ? Choose Christ; only He can provide true wisdom.

When we speak about wisdom, we are speaking about Christ. — Ambrose
