|Today’s Scripture: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. Romans 12:12|
|Falling snow, subzero temperatures, icy roads and sidewalks-winter weather can be challenging for everyone. Heaters, salt and sand, snow plows, the list goes on and on. Not to mention bundling up the little ones. Boy, am I ever glad my kids and grandkids are all past that stage. They can get ready for winter exploration on their own now. Getting a child ready for “fun in the snow” is like preparing them to go deep sea scuba diving times ten.
Thinking about all of that reminds me that preparing for winter weather is like being prepared for life’s trials. I honestly don’t know any person who truly looks forward to being coated in snow and driving on the ice. It’s the same thing with trials. You are not looking forward to them, but you know as a believer you are going to have to take some hard stands and weather though some difficult times. So, it is best to be prepared. How can you ‘weather’ the weather?
