Today’s Scripture: And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Luke 17:26-27

Another reason why I believe that the church will be raptured before the Tribulation is that it seems that the Rapture occurs during a time of relative peace and prosperity. In our passage today, we see Jesus talking about His return and comparing the time of His return to the time of Noah.

In the days of Noah, the earth was filled with violence and wickedness. It became so bad that God finally had to say, “Enough is enough.” He did make a way of salvation. Anyone alive then could have found salvation in the Ark. Although they heard the preaching of Noah for 120 years, everyone except for Noah’s family rejected the message of salvation.

In the days of Noah, everyone was living their lives. They were just doing normal things. They were having meals, weddings, and going about their normal lives. Everything seemed normal until the day that Noah entered into the Ark and the flood came and destroyed the unbelievers.

That tells me that the return of the Lord for His saints in the air will happen during a time of relative peace and prosperity. I say “relative” because there will always be problems in the world. Those problems will continue to become worse and worse, but they are nothing like what the world will face during the Tribulation.

Friend, have you heeded the warnings, or will you be like those who perished outside the Ark? Do not delay – make today your day of salvation.
