Today’s Scripture: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20

On a recent Sunday, I had the privilege of baptizing 7 people during our morning service. That was fun! Two of the ladies who were baptized were students from our Friday night addictions program, RU Recovery. I can’t tell you how gratifying it is as a pastor to see folks trust Christ, get baptized, and begin attending church and growing in Christ. It’s wonderful!

This is the Great Commission in action – and it’s more fun than a person should be allowed to have! It’s so rewarding to see people take these steps in their lives. Julie and I are having such a good time growing with the people in our community.

Yes, I am a pastor, but any child of God who is willing to obey the Great Commission can have this much fun. Just do it! Consistently reach out with a clear gospel, and God will bring the increase in His time.

Let’s never lose sight of the tremendous privilege it is to work together with God, doing the most important things a human can do on the planet.
