Do you believe in modern-day miracles? With my new book, [italics] Finish Strong, I wanted to share with others how I have personally seen God carry me through the most difficult times and work miracles in the lives of believers. You may not watch a sea literally part or personally witness a walled city collapse; but friend, just because the Lord’s miracles have a different appearance now does not mean they do not happen in our lives.
I remember when we first came to Chicagoland and had our church in a tiny storefront. We knew no one, but we had a vision for souls and trusted God. We had no idea how to run a radio and television program, begin a preschool program, start a Christian school, or build a church facility from the ground up. By the grace of God, we see all these things before our eyes today — proof the Lord still works mighty miracles on our behalf. We may not be able to see it in the moment; but when we look back at the path the Lord has cleared for us, it is nothing short of amazing grace.
If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you’ll be amazed at the wonderful things the Lord can do with your life. He will move mountains you thought could never be moved and do things through you that would be impossible in your own strength.
Friend, maybe you are discouraged in your Christian walk or have experienced a tragedy that makes you want to give up altogether. I encourage you to read this book filled with my struggles and the stories of how the Lord brought me through each one. If He can do it for me, He can do the same for you. No matter what you are facing, never give up. Fight the good fight, keep the faith, and finish strong. Remember, with God all things are possible.
Keeping the faith,
Dr. James A. Scudder
