Just because I don’t understand the inner workings of a car doesn’t mean I don’t drive one. Just because I don’t understand all there is to know about computers doesn’t prevent me from using one regularly and appreciating what it has done to make my life easier.
It is the same in the Christian life. You will never understand all there is to know about the Word of God. But as you study, pray, attend church regularly, and witness, you will learn more and more.
Many times the one who is constantly asking questions doesn’t really want to know the answer. Don’t let the person who always has questions make you think he or she is wise. These people don’t really want to learn the great truths of the Word of God. They are content to get hung up on a stupid question.
Don’t let the over-curious take up your spare time. Remember the power is in the gospel. If an Over-Curious isn’t saved, go over John 3:16 or Ephesians 2:8-9 until you are confident he or she understands that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone.
Don’t be sidetracked by foolish questions. They only lead to more foolishness.
The over-curious are not over-wise. – Massenger
