Today’s Scripture: And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the Lord your God. And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites. Joshua 3:9-10

The Israelites were safe as long as they stayed on their side of the Jordan River. The river offered some natural protection from the inhabitants of Canaan. However, once they crossed the Jordan, they had to move forward or die. They either went forward and conquered Jericho and Canaan, or they would die by the river. When Israel didn’t believe God, it was a mess. When they believed God, it was incredible.

Actions of faith send us on exciting adventures.  With God on your side, what might seem like a daunting task can be a great, exciting adventure. It is all about faith. It is all about believing God even though you can’t see where you’re headed. It is all about trusting Him and doing what He says.

If you do it God’s way, you are going to save yourself so much pain and suffering. You can enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, but you are going to have a lot of regret, pain, and sorrow. Or, you can live a life of adventure where you don’t know what God has for you around the corner. Maybe that idea scares you, but don’t let it scare you. With God, you have everything.

It has been said that God delights in adventuresome faith. So, step out in faith. Get out and do something. Unbelief is hesitant, but faith is courageous. When you believe God, you are going to see some incredible things happen in your life.
