Today’s Scripture: The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. Psalm 53:1
An atheist complained to a friend, “Christians have their special holidays, such as Christmas and Easter; Jewish folks celebrate their holidays, such as Passover and Yom Kippur. EVERY religion has its holidays. But we atheists,” he said, “have no recognized national holidays. It’s unfair discrimination.”
His friend thought for a moment and replied, “Why don’t you celebrate April first?”
Many people today don’t think that there is a God. Others think that if there is a God, they are not accountable to Him. Even some Christians live as though they will not be accountable to God. There are yet others who do believe in God, but don’t have a correct understanding of what God requires for salvation.
An excuse I often hear for people not sharing the Gospel is, “What if I get an atheist?” It really isn’t too hard to witness to them. Most of the time, they do believe in God, but are just angry at Him for something bad that happened.
The fields are white for harvest – the world needs to hear the good news of the Gospel of grace. Don’t be a fool, be wise! Get out and win souls!
