Today’s Scripture: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
There was once a little girl who was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Disappointed that she would not have a life of service for the Lord, she went to her pastor and asked what she could do in the short time she had left. The pastor encouraged her to make a list of people she knew were not saved and pray for their salvation.
The girl did this and prayed day and night for these people. After she died, the list was found underneath her pillow. As her parents went through the list, they discovered that everyone on the list had finally trusted Christ. The very last person on the list had trusted Christ the night before the young girl died.
Having a consistent prayer life is key to living the Faith Lifestyle. Our heavenly Father knows you have needs, but He longs for you to come to Him in prayer. Trusting Him to meet your needs, and seeing Him meet those needs, will strengthen your faith. Let me encourage you to develop that daily prayer life, and be a person of prayer.
