Perfect Generation

Today's Scripture: Genesis 6:9-7:1

Noah was perfect in his generation Noah was not a perfect man but he was perfect in his generation because he didn’t fall for the idol worship that the rest of his generation did.

He hadn’t corrupted himself with their amusements and their sins and he had kept his family pure. When he built the ark, the only ones who believed God and came into the ark were his own family members. Obviously he had taught his family well.

Also, God told Noah to put extra animals in the ark for sacrifice later. Noah knew that this was important and the first thing he did when he stepped out of the ark was build an altar where his family worshipped.

Today with the Internet and its almost instant access to pornography, we are in a more difficult generation then we’ve ever been in before. Almost every billboard uses sexual images to advertise. Almost every television show and commercial use ungodly images.

Will you be perfect in your generation? The people around you and the generations coming from you will be blessed through your obedience.

Today's Quote:
The greatest discovery I ever made was that I was a lost, guilty sinner, and that Jesus Christ, the Savior of sinners, is my Savior. —James Simpson, the discoverer of chloroform
